Scholarship Criteria

Biological Sciences Scholarship

ASU Foundation, Inc.

Amount and Term of Award:

$1250 per academic year, payable at $625 per academic semester.

Qualifications for Receiving Scholarship:

  • Sophomore of junior, majoring in Biological Science, BSE Biology Emphasis or BS Wildlife Management. Students with pre-professional emphasis are not eligible.
  • Overall GPA of 3.0 or above, (3.0 on a 4.0 scale) with a minimum of 3.0 in major.
  • Must have completed a minimumo f 12 semester hours of courses in the Department of Biological Sciences.
  • Must be enrolled as a full-time student during the semesters in which the scholarship is awarded.
  • Active participation in biology related professional organizations (membership, attendence, offices held and committee assignments).
  • Undergraduate research (e.g. participation/abstracts and /or presentations).
  • If eligibility requirements are met by several applicants, preference will be given to individuals strong in all catagories.

Qualifications for Maintaining Scholarship:

May reapply for a maximum of four semesters for juniors, two semesters for seniors.
